So who is this dinosaur for today? Its only niche is sites with super cheap or conditionally free electricity, where its exorbitant appetite can be ignored. For any commercial operator with market electricity tariffs, the M20S is the number one candidate for shutdown at the slightest drop in price. It is a monument to the engineering thought of its time, which clearly demonstrates the incredible journey the industry has made in just a few years.
